It’s official. The Walking Dead – Season 2 will be released on the 17th of December, 2013, just in time for it to make it under your Christmas tree. New information on Steam has revealed that the game will be available starting with Tuesday the 17th. The game will be available for the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and iOS, however, the iOS version is likely to come out at a later date.
Players can pre-order the game on Steam, getting a 10% discount in the process, the listing price being €20.69. The game will only be available in digital format, at least until all episodes of the new season are released. Telltale will only provide a hard-copy version in the form of a Collector’s DVD, including all Season 2 episodes, but there’s a long wait until that is going to hit the stores.
The game will follow the adventures of Clementine again, and will see the return of some of the characters from Season 1, such as Omar. We think the dialogue used in the reveal trailer sets the mood for further adventures, as hearing Lee and Clementine speak about the future cannot really go wrong.

There’s less than two weeks until the launch, and in case you’re missing your Season 1 save files, you might consider replaying the first season, as the choices you’ve made along the way will carry over to Season 2.
