There are two known titles being added to The Legend Of Zelda franchise by the end of 2015. Tecmo’s Hyrule Warriors launches this September worldwide, and a yet to be named Zelda for Wii U is set to arrive sometime next year. All in all, Nintendo is doing its best to give Link fans exactly what they’ve been hoping for. If this rumor is any indication, the Big N may not be finished with that mission just yet.
During the Q & A section of the company’s recent shareholders meeting, a participant asked what was being done to appease the demands of Legend of Zelda fans. The explanation was lengthy and gave a nod to both of the titles that I just mentioned, but here’s a quote to care about: “In addition to [Zelda for Wii U] we have ideas for Nintendo 3DS which we have not announced yet, so I hope you will look forward to them.” Through that statement alone, there’s strong indication that a new portable Legend of Zelda is somewhere in the development pipeline.
The question then becomes, what exactly could Nintendo be making? A recent job posting at Grezzo hinted that they might be working on a new Zelda game. Considering the developer has only worked on remakes of previous titles like Ocarina Of Time and Four Swards, could fans finally be getting the Majora’s Mask 3D remaster they’ve long been pleading for?
