Gotta buy ’em all- Pokemon!
That’s right! Everyone’s beloved Nintendo series is finally taking to the virtual shelves! Now you don’t have to make the trek out to Japan and visit the two Pokemon Centers there just to get your hands on some official Pokemon merchandise. In addition to apparel and other items, you’ll now be able to buy a plush version of each of your favorite Pokemon and even assemble your team of 6. At least, that’s what I’m going to be doing…
While there are Nintendo stores in the US already, including New York and and Washington, this site opens up the availability of some great products that once required a plane ticket (for most) to purchase. The Pokemon Center website is certainly a welcomed addition to the Pokemon fandom, and it is nice to see Nintendo catering to its PokeFans.
But how long do I have to wait to get my hands on a plush Pikachu or Charzard? Well no worries, the full website will be launching in the US on August 6th (exactly 32 days from now, if you’re wondering). But the great news is that a soft launch of the website is already up! While it is only displaying and allowing the purchase of three items, it will give you a sense of what the website will be like, and the sort of things that will be sold. If you’d like to purchase a Pikachu plush for $12.99, a set of Eevee “eevolution” keychains for $23.92, or a Mewtwo Tumbler in purple for $17.50, you can purchase one (or all) today! The site also says new merchandise will be rotated every week, so make sure to keep checking back.
So save a little cash for the beginning of August. All of the PokeMerch will be available soon, and if you’re like me, you’re going to want to buy quite a few of those plush…
Check out the Pokemon Center website. And if you NEED that Pikachu plush now, here you go. Enjoy!
