An India website which is tracking mobile imports into the country has spotted a new import which is listed as a Nexus 8 Prototype Tablet. Its origin is from the United States, so it looks legitimate. A possible prototype for Google India to test and develop for?
Since this prototype has shipped from Google United States headquarters no doubt, there is nothing to suggest who has made it. Rumor has it that HTC would be releasing a Nexus 8.9 Tablet which will sport the latest Android L OS. It’s also rumored to be running a 64bit Tegra K1, which is Nvidia’s latest mobile SOC. And pack 2GB of ram with an OIS 8MP camera on the rear for photos, a front facing 3MP camera for video chat and selfies. Storage is rumored to be 32GB which is a standard affair now. No word on a mircosd card slot for expansion. Google is not too fond of MircoSD slots if you look at their previous tablets, Nexus 10 and 7 for example.
