After abandoning a trademark that was originally filed in 2012, Sony has renewed “Until Dawn”, a game that was announced for the PlayStation Move two years ago.
DualShockers reports that the new trademark was filed on July 2nd and published today. It’s still a trademark filed under games, but it features a new description.
Sony Computer Entertainment filed on July 2nd a whole new trademark for the previously announced PS Move-powered game Until Dawn. The filing was published today by the US Patent and Trademark office, and comes after the old one filed in 2012 has been abandoned.
The new class description is the following: “Downloadable computer graphics. Downloadable images in the field of adventure and horror entertainment.”
Previously, when the trademark was filed back on August 1st, 2012, it had the following description: “Computer game software. Video game software.” Real exciting stuff.
Obviously we won’t be experiencing a PlayStation Move title on the PlayStation 4, but it’s assumed that the title will coincide with Project Morpheus, the virtual reality headset that’s being released by Sony in the future.
Sony announced earlier today that they are all in and investing heavily on Project Morpheus.
