Listed under Valve’s company showcases at Gamescon’s website are PC platforms and components which include only controllers. As simple as that is, we don’t necessarily know if the Steam controller is going to show up at the event.
Back in 2012, Gamescon did the same kind of deal with Half-Life 3, according to Gamespot. A document had listed Half-Life 3 to be coming to Gamescon, but to everyone’s surprise, Valve disproved those documents, stating that there were no game showings planned. With Gamescon’s track record like that with Valve, it makes us a little skeptical as to the legitimacy of the profile page. However, this is hardware compared to a brand new game. You’d think the panel would want to be notified of any hardware they would have to deal with on site, for setup and testing.
What do you all think? Are we going to see the Steam Controller or is this a bust?
