Why isn’t the DRIVECLUB PS4 bundle deal available in the States?

Anyone else hoping for a custom DRIVECLUB design?

Sure it’s not due out in Europe till October 8th but Playstation blog has just revealed the DRIVECLUB PS4 bundle deal. Available from the day DRIVECLUB is released the bundle deal will include one copy of the game, a PS4 and a Dualshock controller 4 and will cost €439.99.

DRIVECLUB is the latest game from Evolution Studio’s who you may remember from the Motorstorm and WRC series. Despite the fact that these games are all off-road racers DRIVECLUB will stay firmly on the track.

While DRIVECLUB’s nearest competition The Crew is focused on being a big open world sandbox, DRIVECLUB itself is more focused on being quite a looker. I mean the developers used data from NASA so you’ll always be able to see the correct star constellations in the sky at night. They’ve also made it so that no matter which of the games six camera angles you’re using, your car’s engine will sound different to reflect where you are.

Five seconds later the AI overtakes you and your dead last again. What good is a game that a looker however if it doesn’t play well either and DRIVECLUB is no exception. While DRIVECLUB is no by any means trying to be a racing simulator like say Gran Turismo, the cars performances are based on the in-game cars real world performance and the technical data that Evolution Studio’s got from the cars manufactures.

While the is bound to have online multiplayer, for the single-player gamer DRIVECLUB’s AI will adapt to the pressure you and the other racers apply on them and will look for every opportunity to overtake you. Sounds like this game will be fun on its harder settings.

The DRIVECLUB PS4 bundle deal will be available in Europe for €439.99 so if your tempted then you can pre-order from today. So is this deal good enough to tempt you into pre-ordering or if not what would it take for you to get a PS4?
