Tired of seeing sequels being shoved on store’s shelves and popular industries reaping money from fans, a small Swedish team formed from six members and collaborated to create a new product, which focuses on the player’s finger dexterity and more for the personal computer (PC). In March 20, 2014, this indie gaming development studio known Coilworks released their first project known as Cloudbuilt to the public. Within this fast-pace game, players control a female character who utilizes her jet pack to cross different terrains filled with floating platforms to reach a specific destination.
Though this simple objective may appeal like an easy game to follow, these various levels and the game-play actually create some frustration and difficulty. For one, some of these labyrinth courses may contain monsters who either block or attack. Additionally, scaling the walls or boosting through the sky also rapidly drains the jet pack’s fuel, which the main character quickly replenishes by standing on a horizontal surface. As such, this independent title requires the user to memorize or quickly develop an alternate strategy to either maneuver around these adversaries or try another passage.
For veterans who has played or continuing to play this project, the developers have released downloadable content known as “Through the Fog”. This addition features five brand new levels set in a mysterious fog theme where ancient ruins float in the sky. Best of all, it is absolutely free for those who owns Cloudbuilt steam.
