Xbox One – Winner on the content side?

by GH Staff

Microsoft has just released a new video, aiming to boost sales and focusing on a stab at Playstation 4, boasting about having more content and Xbox-only titles. The promotional material obviously aims to emphasize that the Xbox One will have a much larger array of games available, compared to the direct competitor Playstation 4. Obviously, titles like Halo will never hit Plastation platforms. However, most of the titles presented in the video will appear on various platforms, including the PC and Playstation 4.

The list is a long one, including titles such as Call of Duty: Ghosts (it’s fair to assume that Ghosts is not exactly next-gen and well, doesn’t even come close to looking great), Witcher 3, Fifa 2014, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, The Division, The Elder Scrolls Online, Titanfall, Forza 5 and many others.

Still, we can’t contest the popularity of some xbox-only titles. Forza 5 has definitely been getting better reviews than the Gran Turismo 6, and Titanfall has a huge hype-train running for it. Still, the Playstation 4 also has some aces up its sleeve, with titles like Uncharted 4 being Sony-exclusive.

At the end of the day, these content-wars among the two console titans come to the detriment of players everywhere. For most of us, it all comes down to titles we want to play, and because some are available exclusively on one or the other, we’re forced to empty our wallets severely if we want to have access to our favorite titles from all platforms.

Take a look at the video below. Are the Xbox exclusive titles alone a good enough justification to pick the Microsoft console over the Sony one?
