Julius Caesar will be defeating Crixus once more. No, Spartacus is not getting a reboot. We’re talking about the latest standalone expansion to Total War: Rome 2, entitled Caesar in Gaul. The expansion is out today and can be purchased for €14.99.
This expansion focuses on Caesar’s campaign in Gaul and southern Britannia. If anything, it seems that the only justification for this campaign was a lust for blood and power, which is not that surprising, given Rome’s history.
The launch of the expansion pack comes along with the 8.0 patch for the game, a patch that aims to further improve useability and fix general bugs in the notoriously bugged base-game. The future patch, 8.1 will aim to resolve AI pathfinding issues, one of the major downsides of the game.
