LG quite recently introduced the G3 into the market. A phone with a lot of next-gen features and a reputation to live up to, it would be fitting to call this phone a beautiful monster. Released in June 2014, the LG G3 is available in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red color.

Design and Display

The G3 has a huge 5.5 inch display with an astounding1440x2560 screen resolution. This results in a pixel density of ~534 ppi which is something that hasn’t been seen before in a mobile phone. The metallic design gives it a true look of something special making it worth its money.

Performance

LG G3 has a big Quad-core 2.5 GHz processor with MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chipset. It comes in either2GB RAM/16GB internal storage combination or 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage combination. That, with a rare micro SD support up to 128GB makes it truly a phone of the future. The phone runs on Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat).

Multimedia and Accessories

It has a 13 megapixel back camera with phase detection/laser autofocus, dual-led flash, first ever 2160p video recording and a number of other features like simultaneous video and image recording, geo-tagging, face detection and HDR. The phone has a standard set of accessories which include charging brick, data cable and hands free.

Battery

Even with the huge amount of functionality the Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery performs great and should run for up to 2 days on normal usage.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is one of the few smartphones available with a lovely 6 inch sized screen. With quite a bundle of features and a powerful hardware configuration, the T2 Ultra is a very handsome phone. It was released in May 2014 and is available in Black, White and Purple color.

Design and Display

The Ultra 2 has a mind-blowing 6.0 inch display with screen resolution of 720×1280. Lacking a bit compaired to today’s 1080p displays. The pixel density is just at par (~245 ppi) but with the Mobile Bravia Engine 2 and Triluminous display the result gets improved significantly. The body may not be as slim as the Z Ultra but it’s still quite beautiful.

Performance

The T2 Ultra has a Quad-core 1.4 GHz processor with MSM 8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset. It has 1GB RAM with 8GB internal storage and micro SD support up to 32GB. The phone runs on Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean) and is upgradable to v4.4.2 (KitKat).

The T2 Ultra has a 13 megapixel primary camera with autofocus, led flash support, 1080p video recording and other features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and HDR. The phone’s accessories include charging brick, data cable and hands free.

Battery

The non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery is big enough and should run for 2 days on normal usage.

Verdict

Even though LG G3 is clearly an unbeatable monster in terms of specs, the T2 Ultra itself is not less either. Both are amazing phones.
