Bioware is aiming to mend some wounds left by Dragon Age 2. The upcoming title in the franchise, Dragon Age: Inquisition will try to right the wrongs of the previous title while bringing the franchise back to the spotlights. And they seem to be doing a good job in catching the spotlights already. Following yesterday’s tweets from Aaryn Flynn about Mass Effect 4 already being playable, Bioware is feeding us some more breadcrumbs today, with some great looking new screenshots from Inquisition.
The game is set to launch sometime in Fall 2014. As you can see from the screenshost, the Frostbite 2 engine is hard at work, and the visuals look rather good. Humans, Dwarves, Elves and Qunari will be among the playable races. Bioware had been taking notes, and for Inquisition, we can expect more impactful decisions, more mature romantic relationships (accompanied by some tasteful sex scenes), and more customization possibilities.
Combat will also receive an overhaul, and there will be a stronger emphasis on thinking and strategy and less button smashing.
Lastly, it seems that in a typical Bioware fashion, save games from the previous titles will be importable, so if you have some time on your hands and feel like replaying the previous titles in the series, make sure you hold on to your save game files.
