Release your inner spy when Counterspy infiltrates the PSN stores next month
Listen up agents, today on the PlayStation Blog we got word that next month Counterspy infiltrates the PSN stores. The team at Dynamighty have been developing the method for there arrive and it will go ahead on August 20th and yes I’m going to stop now.
In Counterspy you play as an agent for the third-party spy organisation C.O.U.N.T.E.R during the Cold War unless your playing the mobile version in which cause you’re a “field operative”.
C.O.U.N.T.E.R is a spy organisation who are interested in keeping the Cold War cold despite the obvious fact that both sides don’t so in order to prevent the world from going boom, your sent into multiple bases across the world to prevent the crazed superpowers from blowing up the moon of all things.
As you may expect from a game called Counterspy its (mostly) a stealth game but Counterspy follows Batman in the sense that its side-scrolling until you move into cover in which camera angle seen more in 3D games.
Judging from the trailer and because of the similarities to Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate, this game will most likely be a Metroidvania game.
One thing that we don’t need to wait for the game to come out to see is the games unique art style. The games art style captures the feeling of the 1950’s/60’s greatly and hopefully there will be a variety of areas for those graphics to shine.
Counterspy infiltrates the PSN stores next month and will be available for purchase across the PS3, PS4, and the PS Vita. The game will cost €12.99 or £9.99 and there will be a 20% launch discount for PS Plus subscribers.
