Here’s a sneak peek at what Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy character designer and Kingdom Hearts boss, will design if he had imagined the infamous dark knight from Gotham City. Impressive as always, his acute vision for extraordinary details leave viewers staring aimlessly for hours to check each angle and area upon the designed character’s striking posture. Although Western audiences who have seen and appreciated this hero from comics, movies, and games, this particular image gives us a rare opportunity to compare and contrast what another skilled artist across the world would have drawn.
Fortunately, we could continue our observation with this lifetime event, for this drawing is part of Square Enix’s DC Comics Variant Play Arts Kai line of re-imagined figures. Meaning, more familiar heroes will gradually appear from the super heroes universe with the Batman leading the way as the first of a series designed by Nomura. Nomura’s Batman will be on display at the Square Enix’s booth at San Diego Comic-Con from July 23rd to July 27th (Sunday), 2014. Eventually, the representatives will probably sell this exclusive artwork or give this prized possession away for free in a contest.
Regardless, seeing these awesome images teases Kingdom Hearts fans who have been speculating if the latest game will ever feature the appearances of Marvel characters in the Disney/Square Enix bundle. Of course, these individuals may just look like the cast seen in the Avenger film, but chances often lead to bigger possibilities of changing their traditional designs to create epic keyblade fighters in the next saga after the “Dark Seeker”.
With all this being said, Kingdom Hearts 3 will arrive in the near future for the PlayStation 4 and XBox One!
