Sam Raimi, who is producing the film adaptation of The Last of Us, detailed some information about the upcoming video game turned movie.
Earlier today at Comic-Con, Sam Raimi confirmed a few aspects on the film adaptation of The Last of Us. The film will be written by Neil Druckmann, Creative Director at Naughty Dog, and is going to remain faithful to the video game in terms of source material. The movie will focus on Ellie and Joel’s relationship, and Maisie Willaims (better known for her role as Arya Stark on Game of Thrones) has already been spoken to for a possible role as Ellie in the film.
No other details were released at this time, but this is certainly fantastic news for fans of The Last of Us who were hoping that a possible film release would be in good and capable hands.
