Something to look forward too…

The elements of light and dark come in many shapes and forms, but none shine more brighter than Riddick’s Furyan eye sight or the clashing sparks from the Prince of Persia’s red-stained blades. So while the future of most gaming platforms may seem bleak for some peculiar fans, here are a couple of titles to look forward too down the coming days of our gamer’s community.

As soon as the latest installment to the Fast & Furious franchise breaks into theater’s this April of 2015, not to mention the upcoming Marvel epic, Guardians Of The Galaxy, critically acclaimed tough-guy actor Vin Diesel has shared in an interview that he expresses great interest in not only returning to the game making world and offering up his deep voice once again to Starbreeze Studio’s as the universe’s most wanted escaped, hell-bent-on-survival convict, Riddick, but also in expanding this particular character’s universe in general.

After the recent successes of the last Riddick flick that came out in 2013, as well as the rising popularity for the stealth based first-person shooter’s, Escape From Butcher Bay and Assault On Dark Athena, fans and reviewers alike have been asking the question, “what’s next for the Furyan warrior?” and Vin, being an avid gamer himself, has not shied away from giving the people what they want.

“For all the game lovers out there, we’re reassembling the team that made Escape From Butcher Bay. So we got our guys in Sweden that were part of Starbreeze and we’re pulling them back together to make the next Riddick game that we’re really excited about. […] There’s this huge concept which is more of a MMO game that would be centered around people being able to play mercs and it’s basically the merc trade. There’s a very cool game concept behind that.”   -Vin

That being said, hardcore fans of the franchise everywhere can be sure to have one more game on their wishlist for the days to come!

We’re not quite done yet though! Up next on our ‘Something to look forward too’ hit list comes from the latest gossip surrounding Ubisoft at the recent E3 convention regarding their most memorable and fabled character, the Prince of Persia himself!

Following the success of last year’s HD remake of the Prince of Persia: The Shadow and The Flame, released for the iPad (see link below for gamplay trailer), rumors from the Ubisoft developers have been spreading about a new 2D Prince of Persia game using Rayman Legends’ UbiArt Framework Engine to be in the works sometime down the road.

While most fans had all but given up hope on seeing another sequel, a statement made by one of the team’s head members announced that the game developers behind the show have been “conceiving some great idea’s that will surprise you” for next gen platforms, but need more time to shape them up in order to live up to said expectations.

In the meantime, fans of the PoP world can kill some time by killing some enemies for the iPad version of The Shadow and The Flame!
