Both Oppo and Xiaomi announced these phones in June 2014 and they are expected to release in the third quarter of the same year. Before they are released let’s find out what we can expect from each phone and whether or not we can find a favorite among the two.
Oppo Find 7
With this phone, Oppo Find series has definitely raised the bar much higher. This phone is expected to set new benchmarks in terms of performance and capacity. On an overview we can tell that this phone has a good camera and audio system for sure.
Design & Display
A mega 5.5 inch display hogs the attention with its superior resolution. We get 538 pixels per inch on the screen which is extremely commendable. There is an IPS LCD which is available in 16777216 colors. With scratch resistance and light and proximity sensor this phone is ready to go. The design is elongated and slim – just like most Oppo phones. But the display is edge to edge with the chassis which makes it novel.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
The phone practically has nothing we could complain about. However we could expect improvement on certain aspects – just like the phone is a 13 mega pixel, with Dual LED and all the other features. The front facing camera is 5 mega pixels. You get Quad core processor coupled with 3 GB RAM. The expandable memory is up to 128 GBs which makes it quite a good deal. With a 3000 mAh this phone’s performance can be relied upon.
Xiaomi Mi 4
Unlike Oppo Find 7 this phone is based on Android Kit Kat version which gives it an edge, but apart from that does it have enough to compete with it’s soon to be competitor? Let’s see.
Design & Display
The resolution of this phone is only 441 pixels per inch which is quite lower than Oppo find 7. Apart from that it has a 5 inch screen. Talking about the design, this phone is simple and is as narrow as an iphone! Oppo Find 7 definitely scores more points in its design than this one.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
This phone too has 13 mega pixels camera equipped with all the features such as back illumined sensor, auto focus and LED flash – however it does not have dual LED. Both Oppo Find 7 and Xiaomi Mi 4 have 2.5 GHz Quad core processors along with 3 GB RAM. It has a built in storage of 64 GB, but lacks any expandable memory slot unlike Oppo Find 7. It has a slightly higher 3080 mAh battery life than Oppo Find 7.
Overall
We can say that these two phones are going to give each other a tough competition when they hit the markets. For now, we can see that among these two phones, Oppo Find 7 is a better phone for just two reasons – its battery is replaceable unlike Mi 4 and it has an expandable memory slot.
