EA revealed today that a new optional Xbox One Exclusive Subscription Service that will allow users to access EA’s “Vault”
This new feature called “EA Access” will cost users $4.99 a month ($30 per year) and will supposedly provide users with access to exclusive EA discounts as well as access to game trials almost a week ahead of everyone else, this applies to DLC and full games as well. Seeing as it is only in BETA currently, only four games will be available: FIFA 14, NFL 25, Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4 with more titles to be added in the future.
Not much is known yet about EA’s plans or reason for this new service however it does appear to be very similar to Sony’s PlayStation Plus Service where subscribers will receive free games monthly as well as discounts and more, this is not the first case of “Fan-Service” we have seen from EA, as earlier in the year they released a trial system for free-game time on Origin for PC users.
