These two Android phones have come a long way in the market. The Xperia E1 is a mid range phone while Oppo has a reasonable price. But given a choice will Sony Xperia E1 be a better phone than this smart phone from the Chinese-based Oppo?
Oppo Find 7a
This phone has many features which are really reasonable for its price. However it is an Android Jelly Bean device which gives it a disadvantage than the already established Kit Kat Android devices in the market.
Design & Display
This phone is quite a looker when it comes to design however it does not come at the cost of its utility. Its glossy dimension gives a comfortable grip. Oppo has always taken care of the very minute details in its design. A large 5.5 inch IPS LCD display is quite a sight. We also get a bright 403 pixels per inch on its screen. Overall, on its display front its gets a perfect score.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
Oppo has protected its screen with scratch resistance technology. We get a 13 megapixels rear camera with dual LED and all other essential features. Extremely high quality video recording has been enabled. On the front we get a 5 mega pixels camera. We get 2 GB RAM to make the 2.3 GHz Quad core processor run without stutter. In the built in storage front, we get 16 GB capacity. For an Android Jelly Bean operating device, a 2800 mAh battery is more than enough.
Sony Xperia E1
This phone has given more importance to the musical experience of the user, just like several other devices from Sony. But apart from that it has some other important features as well.
Design & Display
This is one of the most compact and light weight phones in the market. It fits within the palm of your hand. The body is totally built with plastic which makes it a comfortable grip. Since it is a music-centric phone we find a Walkman button at the top of the body. Otherwise the body is very simple with 4 inches display and 233 pixels per inch density.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
We have a 4 mega pixels camera in this phone which has many camera features just like the Oppo Find 7a. The camcorder however does not allow high quality video recording. Its 1.2 GHz Dual core processor is backed by only a 512 MB RAM – given the processor capacity the RAM should at least have been 1 GB. Even though it is a music centric phone, we only get 4 GB internal storage capacity – extendable up to 32 GB. The 1750 mAh battery is in no way enough to support long hours of music on this Android device.
Overall
Even though Sony Xperia E1 is primarily a phone for those looking for a walkman experience, it lacks some features to support its objective. Oppo Find 7a on the other hand provides us great features within a reasonable budget.
