Both of these phones have brought in some refreshing features. Each of them has little or no cons at all. They have both been released in the first quarter of 2014 and even though they have many similarities one of them is clearly ahead of another in terms of features.
Samsung Galaxy S5 DX
If you thought this was a brand new phone you’re mistaken. Samsung Galaxy S5 DX is nothing but the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini. It is to be renamed; you may as well call it old wine in a new bottle. The question is whether Samsung has added new features in it or not.
Design & Display
It has a soft touch back just like the other phones of the S5 family. These phones are also water and dust resistant thus having an edge over other phones of this category. The 4.5 inch screen is ample for a smart phone and it has an over 300 pixels per inch density on screen. The Super AMOLED touch screen with light and proximity sensors gives the phone a classy appeal.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
This phone features an 8 mega pixel camera long with LED and autofocus for sure. The 1080p video recording however is a surprise to have in this package. We get a 2.1 mega pixels front camera as well. Powered by 1.4 GHz Quad core processor this phone possesses a 16 GB internal memory. The 1536 MB RAM is ample to keep it running.
Acer Liquid E3
This phone comes in a very modest price range at the same time it has some great features too. Sure it has compromised on certain aspects, but an overview tells us this phone has more pros than cons.
Design & Display
A big 4.7 inch display with over 300 pixels per inch screen resolution makes this phone brighter as well as better in appearance. The phone has a very smooth and glossy appeal. The screen touches the edges in a fine manner. The body allows the users to get a good grip.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
We get a 13 mega pixels camera with LED, auto focus as well as geo tagging feature. The front facing camera is also 2 mega pixels. The 1.2 GHz Quad core processor is backed by a 1 GB RAM.
Overall
The camera feature of the Liquid E3 is better but based on the processor capacity, the S5 DX is scores more. The battery capacity of Samsung is top notch and much higher than Liquid E3. Therefore we can say that overall S5 DX is a better phone among the two.
