Although The Cave was released just a few days ago for Android devices, the game is available for free via both the US and the UK Amazon Appstore. What’s interesting is that the game was never announced to be Amazon Appstore’s free app of the day and the current app of the day is listed as Cogs.
Having this in mind and the fact that The Cave is still priced $5 on Google Play makes people uncertain of the reason for the free release on Amazon’s Appstore. The developer of the puzzle-platformer Double Fine hasn’t released any official word in regard to the matter.
