‘Dead Noob Media’ (bear with me) has today announced that the premiere of their new eSports documentary ‘Die Noobs’ (I know), will be broadcast live on Twitch which has quickly become top dog in the world of eSports and video-game related media.
The documentary, which will be packed full of celebrities and famous industry names, will follow a pair of gamers who meet up and set out to compete together in their first competitive gaming event. The film will air on August 29th, at 6pm following PAX Prime. And if you can’t catch it, it will re-air again the following day at the same time.
Even Twitch is rather excited about the whole ordeal, and had this short statement to say in a press release:
“One of the interesting aspects of Twitch is how aspiring film producers are now using our platform to showcase their gaming-related movies. Our community has really enjoyed this burgeoning trend, so the worldwide live premiere of Die Noobs represents the next in a long line of movies that will help shape the cinematic corner of our site.”
Die Noobs is the film’s directional debut for director Erik Cieslewicz, who is a recipitent of an Edward R. Murrow award for investigative journalism. The film will also feature an original soundtrack and visual throwbacks to gaming culture, will the studio hopes will cement the film as the next ‘King of Kong’ or ‘Free to Play’
