Sony Xperia C was released in June 2013 whereas Huawei Ascend Y330 was released recently in March 2014. These two phones have many similarities as well as differences. We know that both of them are budget Android phones. We have to see which phone has compromised on its vital features the most.
Sony Xperia C
This phone seems to have got all the features right. It has high performance packed in a compact body. Does it have any downsides at all?
Design & Display
This phone weighs only 153 grams and sports a dimension of 141.5 x 74.2 x 8.9 mm. The TFT capacitive touch screen is available in rich 16M colors. The 5 inch screen has resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, that is, 220 pixels per inch. The resolution makes the screen quite bright. Multi touch of up to 4 fingers is enabled in this phone.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
The expandable memory slot of up to 32 GB has been featured because the internal memory slot is only 4 GB. The 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM makes this a high performance phone. It has an 8 mega pixel primary camera with autofocus, LED flash and geo tagging. The phone however has a low quality VGA front camera. A 2390 mAh battery is enough to make this phone operate smoothly.
Huawei Ascend Y330
The phone was released in March 2014. From the pictures available online we can see that this phone does not have a stunning design. But does it have great features overall? Let us see.
Design & Display
It has a TFT capacitive touch screen along with rich 16M colors. It also sports a 4 inch screen with resolution 480 x 854 pixels. The 245 pixels per inch which it possesses, makes it bright enough for an Android device. Weighing only 126 grams, this phone is lighter than Sony Xperia C.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
This phone sports a Dual core 1.3 GHz processor. To match the processor we get a 512 MB RAM. The RAM capacity should have been higher given the processor speed. A 4 GB internal memory along with 32 GB expandable memory slot is provided in this phone. It has no secondary camera but the primary camera is 3.15 mega pixels only. Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery is extremely low for this Android phone.
Overall
We can clearly see that Sony Xperia C has a better list of features than the Huawei Ascend Y330. The RAM, the battery and the camera features all are better. So naturally the Xperia C should be your first choice.
