Samsung Galaxy K Zoom
Samsung decided to release its high end camera phone in June 2014. It has some powerful features which can compete with any Android device in the market.
Design & Display
It has Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 16 M colors. The 4.8 inches screen that it has, boasts a 309 pixels per inch density. Therefore it is quite a bright phone. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The screen has multi touch enabled.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
The phone has an internal 8 GB memory which is expandable up to 64 GB. It features the latest Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS. The highlight of this phone is of course its camera which is 20.7 mega pixels in the front and is equipped with features like 10x optical zoom, auto or manual focus, Xenon & LED flash (which is higher in quality than simple LED flash). The camera also has 1/2.3’’ sensor, geo tagging, HDR, panorama. You can record 1080p videos at 60fps. The secondary camera is 2 mega pixels. You also get a 1.3 GHz Quad core processor along with these and a 2 GB RAM.
Oppo N1
This phone was announced in September 2013 and finally released in October 2013. This is a good quality phone with high end features centered towards its camera.
Design & Display
It features an IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with bright 16M colors. The 5.9 inch screen has an excellent 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The 373 pixels per inch density make the screen brighter than K Zoom. It also has a touch sensitive area at the back.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
It has a 2 GB RAM which supports the 1.7 GHz Quad core processor. It has an Adreno 320 GPU. It is available in internal 16 or 32 GB memory slot. Even though this phone is camera centric, it lacks a front camera. The rear camera provides 13 mega pixels with dual LED flash and auto focus features. Rotating lens, face detection, touch focus and geo tagging are its other features. It has 3610 mAh battery which we feel is plenty.
Overall
Both of the phones have superior features. If it comes to only the camera feature, then hands down K Zoom is the best. But if you take the entire phone into account with battery backup and other features, Oppo N1 is quite good too.
