It seems that Titanfall won’t be a heaven for enthusiastic modders. Respawn entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella revealed that the game will not support modding and will not come with modding tools, at least not at launch.
This does not mean that Respawn will completely shut out the idea. Zampella did mention that they would have to “evaluate” things after launch. Still, chances are slim for now, and it seems that the focus of the entire development team is to get the game out in time (on the 11th of March, if you haven’t been up to date with news about the game), and not to support the implementation of a stable modding platform.

Titanfall will be coming for the PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and it’s one of the most anticipated shooters of 2014. The dynamic gameplay and combination of pilots and mechs promises to bring some fresh air to the industry. It would be a shame if this potential would be locked away. Knowing what great concepts can emerge from the modding community (Counter-Strike, Dota, DayZ), we can only hope Respawn will change its mind.
