In a recent Edge interview, Rockstar art director Aaron Garbut talked about how Rockstar was forced to leave out a lot of plans and ideas for GTA V. Although, he says he doesn’t believe that the game fell short, he says that not everything on the drawing board made it to GTA V.

Garbut did not comment on what do the plans actually include, but it is highly likely that they will be carried over to the already confirmed GTA VI.

The art director also commented on the fact that the fictional Los Santos wouldn’t have been as compelling, if it was a more authentic recreation of Los Angeles. Although a huge number of fans don’t agree on the matter, the way Rockstar created Los Santos is understandable. If the in-game city was more like the real world Los Angeles, the overall GTA experience would have been ruined, because of limitations caused by the trademark rights.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the most successful games for 2013 and since its release back in September 2013 it has made over a billion dollars. Currently the game has sold more than thirty million copies worldwide and the numbers are going up every day.

The whole interview with Aaron Garbut can be read here.

What do you believe that these unused plans and ideas are? What do you think that GTA VI should include, that GTA V doesn’t already have?
