Two years ago a trailer featuring an impressive unofficial remake of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask rocked the internet community and embedded hope into the fan base of the much loved franchise. A new video has been posted on YouTube showcasing the amazingly detailed re-make and once again lighting a spark in the Legend of Zelda community whose demand for a remake of the title grows immensely. Using modern day technology and techniques, artists Pablo Belmonte and Paco Martinez have worked in the dark since they released this first look at their project two years ago until today. Within the description of their new behind-the-scenes look at their work the duo have stated:
This interactive project is intended to be neither a commercial product or a remake of the game.
The ultimate purpose for the project is that it’s to be presented to Nintendo Co. and for them to decide the fate of the remake. There is a lot of speculation that Nintendo will shut the remake down before its conclusion, but judging by the amazing talent and passion the two artists have I truly hope that Nintendo jump aboard and support the project. What do you think will be the fate of The Legend of Zelda Project? Have a look at the new behind the scenes video!
