The Fullbright Company, the developer behind the massive indie hit Gone Home, has rebranded itself and is looking to expand its operations.
From now on, The Fullbright Company will just be known as Fullbright. Along with the shorter and catchier name the company also has a new logo (pictured above) which looks like it was ripped from an advertisement in the 1950s.
Fullbright is also looking to expand its team which originally consisted of just three people during the development of Gone Home. Job postings for a programmer and animator have been posted on Fullbright’s website, giving descriptions of what the job entails, details of compensation, and how to apply.
The job postings reinforce Fullbright’s dedication to first-person story exploration games, like Gone Home, but they also provide a small detail of what to expect from the comany in the future. Gone Home set the player in an empty house without any other characters for the player to interact with but this doesn’t appear to be the case for Fullbright’s next game. The animator position requires creating “subtle, expressive, high-fidelity characters” that will interact with the player.
If you were a fan of Gone Home’s subtle but expressive storytelling, the idea of interacting with Fullbright’s great characters is incredibly exciting. We’ll be looking forward to any more news about Fullbright’s upcoming projects.
