New Update for Battlefield 4 in the works

by GH Staff

Even though DICE was abstaining from comment on Battlefield 4’s balancing issues, they seem to be working on a new update focused on a complete re-balance of the game.

DICE Producer Alan Kertz has announced the focus of the new update via twitter. Although, he has been specific enough mentioning DMR (Designated Marksman Rifles), V40, RGO, FB, Mobile AA, Helicopters and Hand Flares, it is not certain in what exact way these features will be changed.

As the focus is re-balance, It is speculated that the Designated Marksman Rifles will be slightly buffed. Most of the Battlefield 4 fans also believe that Helicopters (especially Little Birds and Transport ones) are too overpowered, especially if you have engineers repairing them, which is why it is probable that this will be changed in some way.

The Mobile Anti-Air vehicles will also be addressed in the new update. They can be equipped with an active radar, which most fans believe is not right, because that way you don’t have to lock the air vehicle in order to bring it down.

Another DICE official who spoke about the new update for Battlefield 4 on twitter is Dennis BBrännvall. His main focus was that the spectator mode in the game feels ‘outdated.’

Official release date for the update hasn’t yet been confirmed. DICE officials also did not comment on the Battlefield 4 server matter. Although the game servers are running at 10 Hz (10 TICs), which most fans believe is unacceptable for an AAA FPS multiplayer title, nothing about a transition to 64 TIC rate servers was even hinted.

What do you believe should DICE focus on fixing in Battlefield 4 in order to achieve a more balanced gameplay? What do you think should be fixed (or done) in the game to make it even greater?
