As the event starts, we are talked to by Larry Hyrb from Xbox Live.
He has talked to a few of the popular YouTubers who have been invited to the event.
We’re being told to watch for the new Exo-Skeleton abilities, as well as a few new special abilities.
There is also a new Create a Class, apparently. As well as new Game modes.
The countdown has begun.
Eric Hirshberg is on the stage to begin the event, giving a little speech beforehand.
Sledgehammer has apparently been working on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare for the last 3 years.
The game was designed from the start as a next gen game.
The multiplayer trailer is up now.
It shows off the new exo suit abilities.
Also a few new weapons.
Cloaking is in the multiplayer.
One map has a tsunami event.
The main melee is now a punch instead of the usual knife.
The knife still makes it’s return.
The multiplayer trailer can be watched here.
The multiplayer is said to be the most customization, versatile, and rewarding Call of Duty ever.
The Exo has many abilities, including a mid air dash, boost jump, dodges, and even cloaking.
“Boost Slam” is a new melee attack, which has you falling from the air onto an opponent.
Boost Jump, Boost Dodge, Boost Slide, Boost Dash, and Boost Slam are the new Exo Skeleton abilities.
There is also a hover, cloak, and shield ability.
You are now rewarded through Supply Drops.
They will unlock from time played and in game challenges.
Basically, Call of Duty Battle packs.
Weapon loot.
Each weapon has 10 custom builds, on top of the normal attachments.
Supply drops also give Character Gear.
The character system is entirely new.
Reinforcements are one time use items that won’t be earned very often.
With Supply drops, the more you play, the more you receive.
The create a class system is based off of Black Ops 2’s Pick 10, now called Pick 13. Pick 13 gives you the choice of using 0 to 4 score streaks.
Each score streak can be changed via upgrades, basically customizable killstreaks.
When these score streaks are upgraded, it will add the amount of score required to get a score streak.
Co-Op score streaks allow 2 players to join together to get a score streak.
Any one on your team can join in on the score streak, assisting you.
Exo Abilities are chosen before a match, and can be used until the battery is depleted.
The exo launcher now allows you to launch lethal and tactical grenades.
New perks based around your exo.
There is now a virtual firing range, allowing you to try out your new classes.
“Create an Operator” is the new character creation system.
You can customize everything, from your character head to the exo suit itself.
New lobby system, the “Virtual Lobby”, shows off your character, class, and customization options.
Maps are now being talked about by the lead designer of multiplayer.
Tactical Combat was a main goal.
4 maps are being revealed today.
First, Biolab. A research lab int a snowy area.
Second, Riot. A Prison map.
Third, Ascend. A “Space Elevator” terminal.
Fourth, Defender. A medium sized map based in San Francisco.
New game modes.
Uplink. Two teams work to bring a carried satellite to an upload point, allowing you to throw it to both teammates and enemies.
A lot is planned for Day 1 and E Sports.
A small recap of the event is being done, talking about customization and supply drops.
Clan Wars will be making a return.
1 last announcement.
Eric Hirshberg is back on stage now.
Even with all the new changes, it still has the Call of Duty feel.
Anyone who pre orders the game, or has already, the game will release 1 day early.
Day Zero. You get all the other pre order incentives, as well as Double XP.
The event is now over.
