There’s a shortage of information about Mass Effect 4 still, but the internet has been buzzing about the fact that the Marvel television show Agents of SHIELD stole Mass Effect concept art and used it in one of their episodes of their first season (mainly episode 10, Bridge).
The resemblance between the “Earth Alliance” concept art from Mass Effect 3 (which is under copyright protection, mind you) and the CGI setting in the show cannot be denied. Still, it seems that Bioware officials are more amused than bothered, and their responses to the issue at hand generated a few chuckles.

But it seems it wasn’t just Marvel’s TV show that drew inspiration from Mass Effect artwork. Michael Gamble, producer of Mass Effect, showed off an interesting picture of rappers Dubble-00 and The Jacka, who apparently must have traveled in time, because their album cover seems to have been taken on the Citadel. That’s right, the “Futuristic Mob” duo also took Mass Effect artwork for granted, most likely without proper permission.

As far as the TV Show is concerned, neither ABC or EA has commented on the matter as of yet. It will be interesting to see if a law-suit will develop or not following this discovery.
