Ghost Recon Online will be coming to Steam Early Access

by GH Staff

The free-to-play shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online will soon be enrolling in the Steam’s Early Access program, Ubisoft announced earlier today.

Released back in 2012, Ghost Recon Online has a decent fan base and has been receiving frequent updates by the developer based on the players’ feedback. As Ubisoft’s team is building towards a worldwide launch they will be enrolling the game into Steam’s Early Access in order to further enhance the game’s experience.

In an official press release, game producer Corey Facteau said that before releasing the game on Steam they ‘took the time necessary to reach a quality level that can go head to head with the best online games available today.’ The game is currently available via Steam Early Access in Canada and will be released worldwide this spring.

Do you think that the free-to-play squad-based third-person shooter Ghost Recon Online could actually compete with titles such as Battlefield 4?
