EA Sports has announced that Michal Kadlec is set to feature on the cover of FIFA 15 in Czech Republic.
The 29-year-old was on the cover of FIFA 14 last year alongside FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, meaning that it’s a second successive year for the Czech international on a cover of EA’s football franchise.
Kadlec, who enjoyed a successful period with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga before he transferred to Fenerbahçe in 2013, is the latest footballer to join four-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi on FIFA 15’s cover, with David Alaba (Austria), Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Xherdan Shaqiri (Switzerland), Gonzalo Higuaín (Italy), Tim Cahill (Australia and New Zealand), Clint Dempsey (United States and Canada) and, most recently, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard (UK, France, Netherlands and Belgium) already confirmed by EA as cover stars in a specific region or countries.
Michal Kadlec played at left-back for Fenerbahçe during their 2013/2014 campaign and helped the Turkish side lift the trophy in the Süper Lig, putting them on the same number of trophies (19) as their rivals Galatasaray in the division.
The latest Team of the Week was announced earlier this week by EA for FIFA 14’s Ultimate Team mode, which featured Cesc Fàbregas, Eric Dier, James Chester and Allan McGregor for their impact made during the opening weekend of the Barclays Premier League season, while other players were also included such as Dynamo Moscow’s Mathieu Valbuena and PSV’s Memphis Depay. Further details on Team of the Week can be found here.
FIFA 15 is expected for release in late September on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Wii and PC.
