Even though since its release, Battlefield 4 has received numerous patches and fixes, including a seemingly major one a few days ago, fans once again are unhappy with the game’s overall performance. Although a number of bugs have been fixed, the server tic rate is still pretty low for an AAA multiplayer shooter title (10 tics) and players seem to be having major problems with the spawning.
A few days ago, the respawn bug appeared, as after players died they weren’t able to respawn. Even if this seems like a realistic approach to harden the skills of hardcore players, this was actually a glitch that didn’t allow people to play properly. Moreover, some Battlefield 4 players weren’t even able to spawn in the game at the first place when they enter a new server.
Even though the aforementioned bug was fixed, new issues appeared such as Zero Health Kill, Lag and Frame Drop. Servers are also kicking out players seemingly at random. Changing servers is a hard task on its own, which at the rate servers are going and the absurdly long waiting periods (of loading) is simply an outrageous nerve wracking experience, but the random kicking forces players to go through that more often than they should. Not only that, but users register problems with the hit markers as well as the notifications for kills and kill assists.
DICE officially stated that they are investigating every issue and are doing the best they can to deliver the ultimate Battlefield 4 experience, but the harsh reality is that they simply may not be up to the task. As fans continue to rage and post furiously throughout BF4 forums, unable to play their favorite game like they should, we begin to wonder – Will ‘Betafield 4’ ever be fixed?
