Kojima Station, a video webcast hosted by Hideo Kojima and featuring employees from Kojima Productions, revealed a sneak peak at the next instalment in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Following the recent tease of an image labelled as “Metal Gear Collection 2014” by Metal Gear Solid creator and director Hideo Kojima on Twitter — with many speculating this to be every Metal Gear title re-released for current-generation consoles and PC, including the recently recognised Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops as a canon title in the MGS timeline — MGSV: The Phantom Pain’s 30-second preview features the deadly sniper Quiet leaping from a helicopter, her body dematerialising in the sky and rematerialising on Mother Base in front of a stunned Kazuhira Miller and Diamond Dogs’ soldiers.

Kojima revealed during the show where the Konami booth will be located at Tokyo Game Show and also the stage layout that The Phantom Pain will be presented from, which includes props such as a sheep and a car equipped with Fulton recovery balloons.

Some nifty MGS-related products were shown including the iPhone’s iDroid case and a Big Boss action figure from MGSV: The Phantom Pain.

You can find the preview of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain below (or Konami’s Twitch channel).

Hideo Kojima had confirmed at Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show presentation earlier this month that he would be revealing further details about The Phantom Pain at TGS. Additionally, Kojima’s upcoming horror project in collaboration with filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy), P.T., will be at the event alongside MGSV, which was released on the PlayStation Store following a reveal at Gamescom in August and, more recently, passed more than 1 million downloads worldwide.

Running on Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is rumoured for release in Q1 of 2015 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
