No 64-Bit Processor For Galaxy S5 Says Analyst

by GH Staff

Apple has the iPhone 5c and the 5s, and now Samsung is planning to release “Prime” and “Standard” versions of their new Galaxy S5. That is if you believe KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In his note to investors, the analyst not only talked about the two versions of the Galaxy S5. He also contradicted reports that the S5 would be equipped with 64-bit processors. To be fair, Ming-Chi Kuo has been right on his predictions when it comes to Apple and Android devices in the past.

Last year, many believed that Samsung’s 64-bit Exynos 5430 would be ready for use on the S5 this year. That was a logical prediction seeing that the iPhone 5s is already using a 64-bit processor.

Still no word from Samsung when the new Galaxy flagship phone would be released. You still have to wait next month to know the release date.
