Character Name Reclamation Coming To Inactive World of Warcraft Characters

Blizzard announced today that World of Warcraft characters who have been inactive for some time will have their names released.

This doesn’t mean that if you haven’t logged on in the past week or month your name is being fed to the vultures, it’s more so if you haven’t logged on that character since November 13, 2008. Now, in reality, if you haven’t played a character in the past six years, chances are you’re not going to miss that name. But, if you made a hulking warrior named ChuckleBunny all those years ago knowing that one day you will use him to lead a strike against the Lich King, you still have a chance to save them.

How Do I Keep My Name?

If you want to keep your beloved characters name who has been gathering dust in the darkest corner of the character list, all you have to do is log on. Difficult I know. If you haven’t played them in six years why start now? Because deep down you really love them and you couldn’t stand the sight of seeing some others hands on them.

So, stop the senseless murder of countless names and log onto those characters who have taken a seat on the back burner before the release of the World of Warcraft’s Warlords of Draenor pre-patch (6.0.2).
