Who said good things only come to the Android and iOS? Rockstar has just released GTA San Andreas for Windows-based mobile phones. The game ia available for pick-up on the Microsoft app-store for $6.99. While people have been speculating about a possible PC release for GTA 5, Rockstar has targeted a different game for the Windows, and for a different platform. Responsible for this port are the guys at War Drum Studios, who have been previously working on other major mobile port, such as GTA Vice City or Max Pain (for Android and iOS).

These are the phones that are supported by the Windows Mobile version of GTA San Andreas:

  • Nokia Lumia 1520
  • Nokia Lumia 1320
  • Nokia Lumia 820
  • Nokia Lumia 810
  • HTC 8XT

This mobile version for San Andreas features remastered visuals for Windows Phone platforms, and will include improved character models, a broader palette of colors and lighting enhancement. Gameplay-wise, expect support for Dual Analogue sticks, customizable controls and even customizable visuals, depending on the raw strength of your phone. Several languages are also supported: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian and Japanese.

In order to install the game, you’ll need at least 2.5GB of free storage space, and you have to make sure your phone is charging while you are installing. Rockstar promises over 70 hours of gameplay in the iconic San Adreas locations: Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas. If you’re not getting enough GTA excitement while playing GTA 5 on your home console, you now have the option to get your GTA San Andreas fix on your phone.
