There will be no multiplayer in InFamous: Second Son it seems. Not that there was a multiplayer feature included in previous InFamous titles, either. Some rumors launched a couple of months ago led us to believe that the possibility of a multiplayer mode being included in inFamous Second Son isn’t too far-fetched. Brand development director Ken Schramm clarified though, stating clearly that Second Son will only focus on the single-player experience.
While the game is designed around Delsin (the main protagonist) meeting multiple and various NPCs and the story is heavily intertwined with character interaction, developer Sucker Punch focused on refining and providing a clean and enjoyable singleplayer, and nothing else. The open-world architecture of the game will allow you to do quests outside the main story, so expect a large degree of freedom at your disposal.
InFamous: Second Son will be available exclusively on the Playstation 4, and is one of the flagship titles for Sony’s Playstation 4 marketing campaing. Second Son is expected to land on consoles next month, with special Collector’s Edition bundles and a new PS4 bundle.
