A week after its international release, Bungie has made the very first Destiny raid available for play.
Vault of Glass, which went live at 2 am Pacific time (9 am GMT) opened its doors as the first available raid in Destiny and being so foreign, it is sure to give players a challenge.
Only available to players level 26 and above, Vault of Glass is being called “a mystery as much as it is a challenge – a puzzle and a gauntlet,” on the official release on the Destiny site.
Bungie has described the raid as the most elaborate mission ever created for Destiny, but with great struggle comes great reward. Completing the raid gives you the chance to obtain a set of raid gear that is sure to give your characters a significant boost, as well as other high quality materials.
Not everyone will qualify. Among those who do, not everyone will succeed. To even approach this trial of teamwork and combat, the Guardians in your Fireteam will need to be Level 26
The Vault of Glass raid is excpected to be a lengthy one and it is unlikely that it will be completed in one run. Once you back out of the raid, your progress is saved for one week, of course, you will have to resume under the command of the same Fireteam leader. The raid requires a Fireteam of six players, and due to a lack of matchmaking for the raid, all the players must be friends.
