Seong Mi-na and a new blessing mechanic will be coming in the next SoulCalibur Lost Sword update

Following Amy’s return to the fight two weeks ago, Bandai Namco Games has released a new trailer today, revealing that long-term SoulCalibur character Seong Mi-na will be coming in the next SoulCalibur Lost Sword update.

With the exception of SoulCalibur 5, Seong Mi-na has been in every SoulCalibur game since the series first started with Soul Edge, and in Lost Swords she’s back with her Naginata spear.

Seong Mi-nas fighting style is based on taking full advantage of the length of her Naginata, meaning that she has one of the best non-projectile ranged weapons in the series, and a lot of her attacks increase in damage depending on how far away she is to her opponent.

To help with she has some moves where she jumps or back steps after attacking so she could distance herself. However, her attacks are pretty linear, so you will have to watch out side stepping and she has limited options when see’s attacked up close.

So will you find all the blessing mechanics when the SoulCalibur Lost Swords update comes out.

Along with Seong Mi-na, the next SoulCalibur Lost Swords update will also bring a new blessings mechanic. This mechanic allows both you and your ally to grant each other stat bonuses, but only while your both online.

Before you can both start using these blessings though, you’ll both need to soul burst the character Kittymeow with the characters you want the bonuses for.

These stat bonuses will only last for one hour and they are character specific, so for example Sophitas blessing will always grant you +5% health. Not only that but if you activate blessings with specific characters, you can activate the more powerful  level two and level three blessings, though you’ll need a third ally for the third bonus.

For example, the level two combination of Nightmare and Cervantes will activate the blessing Rage of Soul Edge, which increases your Attack Damage by 15% for one hour. The game won’t tell you which characters match up together, but a little experimenting and character knowledge should help.

The only thing revealed in the trailer about the release date for the next SoulCalibur Lost Swords update is that it will be out soon.
