Sega has announced a new earlier release date for the upcoming Wii U title Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.
Sega has recently made the announcement that the Wii U version of Sonic Boom, titled Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, will be released one week earlier on November 11th. Previously Sega had announced a November 18th release date for the Wii U title, but now both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Sonic Boom will be releasing on the same day.
Announced earlier this year, Sonic Boom is a multimedia Sonic the Hedgehog series that is separate from the main Sonic games. The video games, Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal, will be prequels to the TV series that will begin airing in North America this October on Cartoon Network.
Alongside the video games and TV series, Sonic Boom will also extend to action figures and a comic book series from Archie Comics.
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric on Wii U and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal on 3DS will both be hitting retail and eShop on November 11th.
