Nintendo has confirmed that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Ultimate NES Remix for Nintendo 3DS and the upcoming third-person shooter IP on Wii U, Splatoon, will have hands-on sessions available at this year’s EGX event in London, England.
Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo’s first instalment from the renowned franchise on handheld, has characters from the Wii U demo available to try out, including Pac-Man, Diddy Kong, Rosalina & Luma, Link, Zero Suit Samus and Olimar. Additionally, Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS allows fans to use their own Mii Fighter, which comes in three variations: Mii Brawler, Mii Swordfighter and Mii Gunner.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Ultimate NES Remix for Nintendo 3DS and Splatoon won’t be the only Nintendo titles at the event, as Yoshi’s Woolly World, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Hyrule Warriors and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate are also confirmed titles to be on the show floor.
Last week, Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai explained that the Ice Climbers were not added in this year’s roster due to technical issues occurring on the 3DS version of the title, resulting in a complete removal from both games. Nintendo of America also announced that a Super Smash Club will be launched in Canada for the eagerly awaited Smash Bros. instalments, with more details on the Club’s promotions and features found here at Gamer Headlines.
EGX 2014 is scheduled to run from September 25th to September 28th at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, but next year the event will be moved to London’s Tobacco Dock and takes place in March following a new partnership agreed between the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and EGX Rezzed last week.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is scheduled for release in North America, Europe and Australia in October, while Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is rumoured for launch worldwide in Q4 of 2014.
