The mobile phone sector is advancing on a daily basis. Many mobile phone developers utilize advanced technology to develop new and more efficient smartphones. Some of the recently released smartphones include the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Asus Zenfone 5 and the Oppo Find 7. Selection among the three devices is based solely on the unique features each device has over its competition. Below is a review of the three smartphones as well as a comparisons of their main features.

Design

The first thing that catches your eye when you see any device is its design. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo has a sleek body with dimensions of 5.84’’ x 3.05’’ x 0.34‘’. Although slim, it weighs 162.5g which is relatively heavier than some of its competitors. The Asus Zenfone 5 measures 148.2 x 72.8 x 10.3mm and weighs 145g. Contrary to the first two, the Oppo Find 7 weighs the heaviest at 171g with dimensions of 6.01‘’ x 2.95‘’ x 0.36‘’.

Specifications

The power of a phone is as a result of the processors capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo has a CPU with 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 Quad-core and a 1.7 GHz Cortex A15 Dual-core. The phone has an internal user memory of 11GB and a RAM of 2GB with an expandable memory of up to 64 GB. The Asus Zenfone 5 has a CPU with 2 GHz dual-core. It has a RAM of 2 GB with an internal user memory of 8 GB and an expandable memory of up to 64 GB. The Oppo Find 7 has a 2.5 GHz Krait 400 quad-core CPU. It posses a 3 GB RAM, an internal memory of 32 GB and an expandable memory up to 128 GB.

Camera

The camera is on of the most sort after features and none of these phones disappoint. Both the Galaxy Note and the Zenfone 5 have near similar camera capabilities of an autofocus primary camera with 8MP and a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, as well as a flash. Both have secondary cameras with 2MP and a video resolution of 1080p. The Oppo Find 7 however stands out with an autofocus primary camera with 13MP and a resolution of 4160 x 3120 pixels. The phone also has a secondary camera is 5MP and a video resolution of 2160p@30tps among other camera features.

The Samsung Galaxy smartphone has a removable Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3100mAh. This allows the phone to have 540 h, 18 h and 64 h of standby, talk time and music play time respectively. Operating System

All the above smartphones run on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. However, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo and the Zenfone 5 have an upgrade option to the KitKat 4.4.2 version.

Price

Of the three smartphones, the Asus is ranked as the cheapest option while the Oppo Find 7 is the priciest.

Final word

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo and the Asus Zenfone 5 have similar feature. On a tight budget I would prefer the Asus smartphone due to its affordability as well as its high performance. However, if price is nothing to go by, the Oppo Find 7 would be my most preferred choice of the three. Though a bit expensive, its features are like no other. Its battery longevity allows you to enjoy your device for a longer period without interruptions. Its features seem to be relatively superior to its competitors.
