It’s been a busy week or so for China’s Lenovo. First, they entered into an agreement with Google to buy Motorola Mobility. Today, reports have surfaced that Lenovo is in talks with Japan’s Sony Corp regarding a joint venture. Lenovo could take over Sony’s Vaio PC business overseas according to NHK.
Sony came out and categorically denied the report. But at the same time, the company acknowledged that they are indeed looking at several possibilities for the ailing Vaio.
“Sony continues to address various options for the PC business, but the press report on a possible PC business alliance between Sony and Lenovo is inaccurate,” the company said in a statement as reported by Reuters.
