FIFA 15, EA Sports’ latest instalment in the FIFA franchise, has stormed to the top position of the UK’s sales chart, stopping Bungie’s open-world first-person shooter IP, Destiny, from receiving a third consecutive week at number 1.

FIFA 15 is the first title in the series to have launched on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the same time as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, meaning the opening sales would be higher than the release of last year’s instalment, FIFA 14.

Compared with the sales chart from the week ending on September 20th, Hyrule Warriors’ initial appearance at number 3 has the title dropping 10 places this week, while Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Call of Duty: Ghosts and The Sims 4 have all climbed places in the top 10 titles.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, on the other hand, maintains its strong position in the UK sales chart, having dropped from second to third place after a week.
