League of Legends 2014 World Championship Quarterfinals

This past weekend wrapped up the last of the group stages in the League of Legends 2014 World Championship. With a couple of upsets — most notably the absence of both EUW powerhouses (Alliance, and Season One winner Fnatic) — the rest of the bracket is filled with immense talent. It includes all three teams that qualified from both the Chinese (Star Horn Royal Club, Edward Gaming, and OMG) and Korean (Samsung White/Blue and Najin White Shield) regions, and the first and second best teams in North America (Team SoloMid and Cloud 9). Even though the Korean teams are favored to win the World Championship this year, this has been one of the closest and most entertaining championships in League of Legends’ short history. Be sure to tune in this weekend and cheer for your favorite team!

Schedule:

Friday 10/03 – Samsung White v Team SoloMid (01:00 PDT/ 04:00 EDT/ 10:00 CEST)

Saturday 10/04 – Samsung Blue v Cloud 9 (22:00 PDT / 01:00 EDT / 07:00 CEST)

Sunday 10/05 – Star Horn Royal Club v Edward Gaming (22:00 PDT / 01:00 EDT / 07:00 CEST)

Monday 10/06- Najin White Shield v OMG (01:00 PDT/ 04:00 EDT/ 10:00 CEST)

All four matches are best of five and are held in Busan, Korea. Be sure to post your predictions on who makes it through the next round!
