Evolution and Taunts of 12 Characters in Super Smash Bros.

by GH Staff

After 15 years since the first Super Smash Bros. came out for the Nintendo 64, this fighting series has experienced different minor to major changes in its graphics. From the platform landscapes to the energetic sprites, folks can see the evolution and transformation over the years through this short video. Published on September 29, 2014, this comparison video shows the timeless taunts and graphical enhancements from four video game entries:

As shown from this video, some of the taunts have changed over time with the improved graphics. However, only twelve characters appear in all the Super Smash Bros. entries (from Super Smash Bros. 64 to Super Smash Bros for the 3DS). These original characters are Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Pikachu, Jigglepuff, Captain Falcon, Fox McCloud, Donkey Kong, Ness, and Yoshi.

Again, this video showcases all the Super Smash Bros. games: Super Smash Bros. 64, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Super Smash Bros 3DS. Unfortunately, this creative footage does not contain scenes from the Wii-U version (yet).

For more information, please visit the North America official website or Europe official website for the Super Smash Bros. entry on the Wii-U and Nintendo 3DS.
