Super Smash Bros – Five characters they can’t leave out.

by GH Staff

Super Smash Bros has been one of the most popular games for Nintendo’s flagship consoles. The platform brawler has featured all of Nintendo’s most famous characters. While the roster for the 3DS, Wii U versions still haven’t been finalized, there’s still some key characters that haven’t been announced. It’s interesting, because some of those characters have been around from the very beginning. I will be examing five unannounced characters, and why they must be part of the game.

This one may or may not be that obvious. Jigglypuff is among those considered a veteran of the Super Smash Bros series, being playable since the first Super Smash Bros. It’s very possible this pink little ball pokemon may not be part of the game. They have already confirmed four playable pokemon characters. Jigglypuff’s one of those cute but deadly characters. It’s the type of fighter you wouldn’t consider a threat until it puts you to sleep and super rolls you right off the map.

The F-Zero racer has also been a veteran to the super smash bros roster. There’s no denying the signature “falcon punch” move, or his hazard raceway levels. The character remained a very good balance of both speed and power. Surely an underrated character, Captain Falcon represents the only character of his respective game.

Probably my favorite Super Smash Bros character yet to be announced. Mr. Game and Watch was a fantastic fighter with his transformations. The guy flipped bacon at his opponents with a frying pan. One of only two characters on this list not in every Smash Bros, he’s definitely defined himself as a fighter. Springing off his trampoline, spilling oil on his opponents, Game and Watch needs to be part of this game.

Having only appeared in Brawl, Wolf’s an amazing fighter. His stength and quickness make him a viable advasary to the Smash roster. He mimmicks Fox but differs himself enough to make him play like his own character. It would be disappointing if they decided to leave him out, he made an excellent smash character.

Last but certainly not least, either or, Ness or Lucas. Ness being one of the final veteran characters having appeared in every Super Smash Bros, it wouldn’t feel like smash without him. Lucas also makes a fine fighter as we have seen. The baseball bat attacks, the yoyos, everything down to their similar styles, make them two fantastic characters to have.

The Super Smash Bros games have had an abundance of great Nintendo characters. Solid Snake and Sonic have also been some fantastic additions to the rosters. I have an idea for some other characters we may say in the upcoming titles. Bomberman, Ridley, Shadow or Knuckles, Skull Kid, even Bayonetta would make an awesome character. Either way, this game has been shaping up to be one of the best ones yet. Are there any characters you woud like to see? Let us know in the comments below.
