Facebook has been in existence for a decade now and through the years, its effect on the public gets stronger. Many users though are tired of Facebook’s snooping ways. Icelandic upstart social media platform Vivaldi is looking to give those users a better alternative.
Jon von Tetzchner, founder of Vivaldi and co-founder of browser maker Opera has this to say about their new product:
“Our initial focus is on the computer geeks because they usually have higher demands for functionality, safety and privacy. But a lot of ordinary people also worry about these things and we will welcome everyone.”
Opera Software announced that they will be shutting down their social network platform next month. Vivaldi is looking to gain millions of users from the said site.
